Scotland’s largest public Diwali celebration takes place on the opening weekend of Edinburgh’s Winter Festival.
The parade gathers at St Andrew Square from 12:30 and makes its way along George Street and Castle Street into West Princes Street Gardens. Celebrations continue at the Ross Bandstand from 15:00, and the day ends with a fireworks display at about 18:30–18:45. Entry is free and you don’t need a ticket.
