The Auckland Diwali Festival is New Zealand’s premier Indian cultural festival and draws more than 65,000 people each year. Aotea Square fills with music, dance, crafts and Indian food, and there is a public fireworks display.
Open from 12 noon to 9 pm on both Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November. Entry is free.
